Prequel to the Kaplan GMAT Course

Hi. I’m Victor. On May 31st, I had the privilege of receiving an email that announced I was the recipient of MBA Podcaster’s Kaplan GMAT Course giveaway. (You can read my essay here.) So, after raising a few glasses in celebration, I decided to begin working with Kaplan to decide the best days and times to take the course. Both MBA Podcaster and Kaplan have been gracious enough to allow me to start a bit later than planned, so I won’t officially begin the GMAT prep course until August 19th. It is a “Live Online Course,” which means that I’ll have a professor and a ‘classroom,’ but will have the freedom to take this course in my boxers from the comfort of my dining room table. (perhaps too much information for an initial post…)

Here are the class schedule and times:

1 Introduction to GMAT Strategy Thu 08/19/2010 10:00 PM EDT – 12:30 AM EDT (7:00 PM PDT)
2 Quant Strategies and Algebra Thu 08/26/2010 10:00 PM EDT – 12:30 AM EDT (7:00 PM PDT)

Feel free to send along any questions, feedback, or input by commenting on this post.
Looking forward to the next few months with you guys!

  1. Kevin Melanson says:

The Kaplan course is a good way to learn more of the test taking strategies. Be advised, their practice tests keep your overall score lower than other tests.

Manhattan GMAT is recommended with high praise by some high online GMAT sites. At the worst, a book costs under $20.00 and it provides 6 practice tests online. Well worth it.

This coming from a Student through Kaplan.
